ISLAMABAD: A high-level UAE delegation led by the Minister of State and CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, met Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday, and explored new areas of investment in Pakistan, the PM’s office said in a statement.
“The UAE delegation conveys clear directions of the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to elevate the UAE-Pakistan relationship to a long-term strategic comprehensive economic partnership,” the statement added.
PM Khan said that the composition and membership of this delegation reflected the UAE’s seriousness about strengthening the historic relations with Pakistan.
“He highlighted the immense investment opportunities in renewable energy, petroleum and petrochemicals, sea water desalination, agricultural research and infrastructure development in Pakistan,” the statement said.
Minister of State Dr. Al Jaber evinced the UAE corporate sector’s interest in investing in Pakistan.
The statement added that Al Jaber stressed that Pakistan had a lucrative market and a special geographic location.
